Zone-H / HITB Hacking Challenge

Filed under: Main Page — Administrator @ 4:19 pm

Zone-H in colaboration with the Hack in The Box crew will organize a 10-level web-based hackgame at HITBSecConf2008 - Dubai in which participants will be challenged to try and beat the hackgame in the shortest possible time. Based on the original game developed by Zone-H in 2005, this years challenge rules are fairly simple. There is a central server offering an online hackgame via wireless which is developed along ten different challenges with four levels of increasing difficulty. All of them can be beaten just by using a simple web browser so players won’t need to bring their own exploits. Each participant has a limited amount of time of 20 minutes to beat four randomly selected challenges; upon completion of each level, a separate scoring mechanism will assign to the participant some points based on a time-mission scheme.

Do note that participants who wish to participate in the Capture The Flag competition will need to also complete the 4 levels of the Zone-H game in addition to the binary challenges.
